3dOP Pro comes with a unique license and license registration procedure. When the software is downloaded from the website it is set to Standard mode. This is a fully functional but restricted version of 3dOP Pro. You will still need to agree to the terms and conditions of the license on initial installation and running of the software.

To upgrade to the Professional version of 3dOP Pro a registration key must be purchased at 3dOP.com. To register the software select "Help" then "License". The window shown below will appear:

Note: an internet connection is required for the registration process to be completed successfully.

Enter your user name and a valid registration key. Then select the "Register" button. The output window under the "Register" button will display "attempting to register..." then "Registration successful" and your name and key code will appear to the right of the "User Name" and "Registration Key" labels respectively. The "Current Status" will change from "New User" to "Registered". Also the "Licenses Used" will show how many licenses are used and purchased. In the example below 20 licenses were purchased but only 1 is in use. The name and registration key are blurred intentionally in the windows below. The professional features will activate the next time you start 3dOP Pro.

One of the unique features of 3dOP Pro's license scheme is the ability to unregister your license and transfer it to another computer. To unregister your license select the "Unregister" button. The message in the window below will appear if you are successful and the "Licenses Used" will change. To re-register just press the "Register" button again. You do not need to re-enter your name or license code. Note: 3dOP Pro can only be registered on one computer at a time unless multiple licenses are purchased.

The "Refresh" button updates the "Licenses Used" display when multiple license codes have been purchased.

The "Check Version" checkbox, if selected, will enable the display of a message window if newer software is available for download from the website. The message will only display at the start of the program if newer software is available. It is suggested that this feature be activated unless the computer is disconnected from the internet most of the time. This can cause internet time-outs to slow the program startup depending on the operating system used.
