3dOP Pro allows the user to open, save, and create new projects. The Project functions are located in the project group of menu items in the "File" menu. When 3dOP Pro is first opened only the "New Project..." and "Open Project..." menu selections are available. To open a previously saved project file select "Open Project..." as shown below:

Upon selection of the "Open Project..." menu item the following window (MAC shown) will appear on the users desktop:

The only files with a ".pjt" or "PJT" extension are highlighted. The project file can be viewed with any text editor and uses a comma separated value format to save the information. The user can edit it outside 3dOP Pro but care must be taken to preserve the format. Note: It is a good idea to create a project directory in the Documents directory.

Once the desired file has been selected click "Open" or double click the highlighted filename. The project file will be loaded into 3dOP Pro and displayed as shown below:

The project will be loaded and displayed in the state it was saved. After the user has modified the project and wants to save the project two options are available. The "Save Project..." and "Save As Project...". The "Save Project..." will overwrite the loaded project file without any user interaction. The "Save As Project..." menu selection will present the window (MAC shown) below:

The user can save the project with a new name or select the old name. When this has been done click "Save" to save the file in the selected directory.

The final project menu selection is "New Project..." which is used to initialize all fixture information in 3dOP Pro and create a blank project.
